Blogger SUCKS

So for those of you from the Friday and weekend hops and anyone else...Blogger is fucked up again and messed up GFC and other widgets and design layouts of blogs. Hopefully it comes back up soon, and you can bet that this weekend I'm figuring out how to switch to a different host :) Any tips would be welcome! <3 you all and so sorry that there have been some technical issues for the past couple of Friday blog hops!

Update: Still haven't heard anything from Blogger about my GFC being missing or why the layout of my blog is still all wacky. GG!

TGIF Blog Hop!

I'm so happy to be cohosting again this week! Enjoy the hop! <3

Breaking Into George's Room Video

We recently lost about 20 forks and were wondering what could have happened to them. Jeremy thought maybe George had some in his room and so he broke into his room to check. Here is the video of Jeremy breaking in :)

No, we didn't end up finding any forks unfortunately!

Mojo Monday Challenge

I am being brave this week and posting the card I made for the Mojo Monday project. I am still a beginner and my cards are nowhere near as creative nor as high quality as some of the others who posted. But I figure, might as well throw my hat into the ring, the worst that can happen is I learn some new techniques and get a world of inspiration from the infinitely creative people who participate in this challenge.

This is the sketch that Mojo Monday provided us to base our creations off of:
And this is what I created from the sketch :)

Crafting Cards!

I was in a crafty mood yesterday (first in a long time) and made just a couple of cards while watching some movie with Joshua Jackson in it. Wasn't very good but Joshua is pretty yummy to watch for an hour and a half! Pardon my shitty photoshopping of these. I didn't have a whole lot of time so they aren't that great of images =/

I also went to the thrift store and I found some KnitPicks yarn for 50 cents! There were only two rolls and one color (came dye lot!) but I'll take it! I love KnitPicks and if you knit a lot they have some inexpensive yarn that is still good quality. The rolls are a bit small but the colors and quality are great!

Summer is here and I don't have a bikini body!

Summer is basically here, if you don't count the past couple of days of cold wind, rain and thunderstorms that are uncharacteristic of May. Normally I wouldn't be worried or mind that I haven't been working out as much as I should because I am not overweight or fat or anything like that. Just not really toned up at all and I have some cellulite going on that I wouldn't be sad to lose. But I'm getting older (24 yikes) and I just can't shake the extra few pounds that I gained over winter like I used to be able to. It's hard to find motivation to get moving when you aren't unhappy about how you look but also aren't thrilled either. I decided that I was going to pick out some women who I think are absolutely gorgeous and have rocking bods and print out a couple of pictures so keep as my motivation. When I go to grab that ice cream that I love so much, I'll take a peek at Nicky Whelan's Maxim photoshoot and maybe grab an apple instead of that chocolate chip cookie dough goodness in the freezer.
Now don't get me wrong. I don't idolize celebrities or want to look like them. I just want to look the best that I can while being healthy at the same time. I realize that quite a few women who are well known to young girls, teens, and women all around the world, participate in some eating habits that wouldn't really lead to a long term, or healthy, outcome (eating disorders, liquid diets, "cleanses", etc.). I use these pictures to keep me on track rather than to starve myself or over-workout. It seems to really be the biggest motivator to me to keep working out and keep eating right and just be healthy in general. I won't ever get rid of the annoying cellulite if I never practice portion control or if I don't workout several times a week.

If I keep a picture posted on the fridge I will remember that I shouldn't really grab that leftover pizza, and instead make a quick salad or make a turkey sandwich.

If I keep a picture posted by the pantry I will grab an apple instead of those tempting vanilla oreo cookies, well maybe I'll have just ONE cookie :)

And most importantly, if I keep a picture posted by my door\computer I will see it everytime I get up and will remember that I really do need to do a workout today, even if it's just for a mere 30 minutes. Getting moving instead of sitting around all day is going to give me results.

I may not ever look like Gisele but I will feel great and look pretty darn good in a bikini if I stay on track!
Now it's time for a cardio workout. Plyometrics here I come!

Poll: How do you get motivated to workout?

Stumbleupon

I've been doing a lot of Stumbling lately and have come across some really great sites. If you don't know what Stubmleupon is here is a quick rundown...

If you create a Stumble account you can install the toolbar and just click Stumble!. When you click Stumble! it takes you to "random" sites that are based on your interests, which you filled out as part of your profile. You can add friends and see their favorite pages and your friends can see your favorite pages as well. You can rate each site that you stumble with the thumbs up, or thumbs down buttons. More functions include sharing via facebook, twitter and email. It also keeps track of your thumbs up pages and shows you more pages that are similar.

I wanted to share just a few of my most recent favorite pages that I've stumbled recently. Feel free to add me too on Stumble if you are members! My name is saramarieg on there :)

The first site I want to share is Make your own glitter flats!
I haven't tried making my own glitter flats yet (I haven't found any flats that fit my feet!) but as soon as I find a great pair of flats I'm going to buy them up and make some awesome glitter flats! It is so simple to do and they great with just about anything. Plus they won't get glitter all over the place when you walk which is a plus if you have manly men living with you :)

The next site is San Francisco Wedding by Tanja Lippert
I absolutely LOVE this wedding! The red is used so well and the bride's shoes are just to die for! I also love this wedding because it's in my favorite city, San Francisco. The bags that the mother in law hand sewed for all of the guests is such a great touch. Maybe one day when I take the plunge I'll do something similar.

The last site is more a video than a site and it's Lessons from 40 Films in 7 Minutes
Besides the fact that most of these movies are my absolute favorites (hello Star Wars!), the lessons are all very true and are applicable to life.
